NCAA Tournament 2012 Bracket Update: Gonzaga Is No. 7 Seed, Will Face West Virginia

Gonzaga is heading back to the NCAA Tournament in 2012.

The 2012 NCAA Tournament bracket and field has been announced, and the Gonzaga Bulldogs will receive a No. 7 seed in the East Region. The Zag's first opponent will be the West Virginia Mountaineers, and they will play in Pittsburgh. If they win, they draw the winner of No. 2 Ohio State vs No. 15 Loyola.

Gonzaga earned the seven-seed by finishing in second place in the WCC conference and finshing as runners-up in the WCC to St. Mary's. Gonzaga has a solid resume to their name, besting Notre Dame, Arizona, Xavier in out of conference matchups while also beating BYU twice and St. Mary's once in-conference.
