Gonzaga Vs. Santa Clara Recap: Zags Stay Perfect In WCC Play With 82-60 Victory

The Gonzaga Bulldogs hosted the Santa Clara Broncos on Saturday night. With the decisive win, Gonzaga is now undefeated in WCC play.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs hosted the Santa Clara Broncos on Saturday night in WCC conference play. The Bulldogs eventually outpaced the visitors and now own a 3-0 record in the WCC, with an overall record of 13-2. With the loss, Santa Clara falls to 0-2 in the WCC and 8-7 overall.

The first half stayed relatively close, heading into halftime with the Zags only up 28-26. They opened up a big gap in the second half, however, holding a 22-point lead en route to the 82-60 win.

Gonzaga center Sam Dower turned in a solid performance for the Bulldogs. He scored 17 points on the night, also picking up six rebounds and a steal.

Gonzaga will play their next game on Thursday, January 12, when they travel to Northern California to take on the St. Mary's Gaels.
