Gonzaga Basketball: Few Helps You Pronounce Those Difficult Player Names

Some of Gonzaga's players have names that might be difficult to pronounce for the average English speaker.

Coach Mark Few provides a little help in his latest ad for "The Mark Few Show".

Canada basketball provides a little more help in distinguishing those Mathises. But you're on your own for center Robert Sacre.

The other two newcomers are freshmen with the same spelling of their first name but different pronunciation as a result of their European heritage. Mathis (ma-TEES) Keita (KY-tuh) and Mathis (mat-tis) Mönninghoff (Moon-ing-hoff) give the Bulldogs two more international players, bringing to six the number on this year's team with Canadian holdovers Sacre, Olynyk and Arop, and the German Harris.

Keita hails from Thionville, France, while Mönninghoff is from Ibbenbüeren, Germany.
