A piping hot cup of fresh sports tidbits.
Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson had to participate in an NFLPA Rookie Events this weekend, including a photoshoot and video profile at the Rose Bowl this weekend. Youc an see the video after the jump. You'll see a little bit of Wilson's throwing motion and what he's capable of, and whether he could possibly be the starting quarterback for the Seahawks down the line.
He also gave us a taste of his singing voice, although it's too brief to make any real judgements on how good it is. Check it all out in the video below!
Seattle has been laying out the plans for a new and modern NBA arena that would be able to house a new team. The plan is for the arena to be housed in Sodo which would be near the port city.
However, the Port of Seattle isn't certain whether the project will work well for overall traffic in the area. The port of Seattle would be situated very close to the site of the arena, which would mean that things might get very congested down the line.
Could opposition grow to the point that Seattle might have to find a new site? Emily Heffter of the Seattle Times filed this report.
Punching bag for life, ex-Zag, and all around draft bust Adam Morrison is making the rounds on Twitter again, and just like the last time, it isn't for basketball reasons.
Morrison has been playing in Europe the past couple of years and has clearly adopted the Eastern European image - wearing all black and growing long, flowing locks. Rumors are also circulating that Morrison has joined a band as seen after the jump.
Looks like the Oklahoma City Thunder are taking subtle (or not so subtle) shots at the city of Seattle during their playoff run, including a T-shirt that reads ‘Thank You Seattle - OKC' on the back of it.
The New York Times' Howard Beck uncovered the t-shirt on his way from Los Angeles to Oklahoma City to cover Monday's game 5 between the Lakers and Thunder. This isn't a t-shirt being sold at the front door and it isn't an official item being sold by the team, but it's still a pretty petty attempt at low-blowing a city that had nothing to do with the departure of its beloved Sonics.
Many rookies are making their first public appearances with their new teams on Saturday at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere, an event that's always fun for the fans to take in. The Seahawks have quite a few of their recently drafted guys in attendance, including quarterback Russell Wilson, who is sporting the new uniforms.
Rookie running back Robert Turbin showed off his guns while signing a few autographs, too. No, not actual guns, but rather his enormous arms. I don't know about you, but I doubt opposing defenses are going to want to tackle this guy for years to come.
We have a few photos of Wilson and Turbin after the jump...
Everyone loves preseason rankings. Yes, they basically mean nothing in the grand scheme of things, but a fan is always interested to see where some of the nation's experts think their team stacks up against the competition.
With spring workouts and practices in the books and the start of summer training camp just a couple weeks away, a few publications have released their final pre-preseason rankings for the upcoming college football season.
ESPN sees big things happening for the Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies in 2012. Where do they have them ranked and what did they have to say about UO and UW?
The NFLPA Rookie Premiere is happening this weekend down in Los Angeles and works as a fun way to introduce a small group of the newly-drafted rookie class to the NFL world. They'll interact with sponsors and media, take part in a flag football game with some lucky fans, and just represent their team at a fun event that aims to break up the doldrums of the NFL offseason.
The two Seahawks' rookies in attendance are Russell Wilson and Robert Turbin, and SB Nation's Joel Thorman was there to chat with them about their experiences thus far.
Jon Brockman proved his awesomeness again by modeling and subsequently endorsing a beautiful piece of clothing being dubbed the "UW Swagga Suit" — SWAG standing for Sweet Washington Athletic Gear. The Milwaukee Bucks forward along with recently graduated Darnell Gant are featured in a photo album on the start-up clothing's facebook page.
After viewing these photos, there is no doubt that these former Washington Huskies players are dawgs for life. There is also no doubt that these one-piece pajama suits will be a popular clothing item among fans this upcoming football season. The facebook page's official description of the pajamas reads:
Swagga suits are unique UW onepiece jumpsuits for UW students, faculty, alumni, and fans. These suits are comfy and great to wear to UW events and sports games to show your UW spirit and represent your favorite school!
Props to Yahoo! Sports' Ball Don't Lie for their story on Brockman and his Swagga Suits on Thursday.
See a a few photos of Brockman and Gant wearing their Swagga suits after the jump.

Drew Carey is a minority owner of the Seattle Sounders. The comedian recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about his life, career and, of course, the Sounders. He even compared himself to Magic Johnson as the celebrity face to accompany ownership of the club.
He also called himself a "fan with benefits", which is something I feel just about everyone would like to experience with their favorite team.
We have a video of Carey appearing on the late night talk show after the jump...
