Either the 49ers or Falcons are going to the Super Bowl. Which one it is will be decided on Sunday.
The Seattle Seahawks are done, but the NFL Playoffs will still go on. In fact, in just a week the San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons will square off in the NFC Championship Game for a spot in the Super Bowl. It's all quite unfortunate for the Seahawks, who will have to root for their NFC West rival or the team that eliminated them from the playoffs, but football is rarely kind.
The NFC Championship Game will kick off at noon PT from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. There, 71,000 Falcons fans will be waiting for the 49ers, who have been okay on the road this season. They went 5-3 on the road in 2012, while the Falcons went 7-1 at home.
Fox will have coverage of the 49ers and Falcons, with pregame starting an hour before kick. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will be on the call for the game. The AFC Championship Game will follow the 49ers and Falcons live on CBS.
