Week 1 NFL Odds: Seahawks Vs. Cardinals

The Seattle Seahawks are listed as 3-point underdogs for their season-opener against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, according to OddsShark. The line opened with Pete Carroll's squad favored by a point, but a banged up backfield and the team announcing a rookie quarterback as their starter might have caused the shift. The over/under for the game is set at 40.5.

The Seahawks will begin the 2012 season with rookie signal-caller Russell Wilson under center. The team signed Matt Flynn to a three-year, $10 million guaranteed deal this offseason and expected him to battle Tavaris Jackson for the starting job, but the emergence of Wilson in the preseason has pushed Flynn to a backup role.

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch could miss Sunday's game with back spasms, which would be a massive blow to a team who led all NFL teams in rushing yards during the preseason. Rookie Robert Turbin could see the bulk of the action in Lynch's stead.

The Cardinals had a bit of a quarterback controversy of their own, as they were the last team to make an announcement on their starting quarterback for the season opener. John Skelton had a rough preseason, completing 50 percent of his passes, but nudged out Kevin Kolb for the starting job.
