The Seattle Seahawks are ranked 24th in the latest NFL Power Rankings from SB Nation's Joel Thorman. The Seahawks had previously been 22nd in the last edition, which came after the NFL Draft.
Thorman, like most of the NFL world, has praise for Seattle's new starting quarterback:
24. Seattle Seahawks (LW: 22): Russell Wilson is dynamic. I did not expect that. Seattle will challenge San Francisco for the NFC West title.
The 49ers are listed at No. 8 in the rankings. It's interesting that Thorman thinks highly of Wilson, so much so that he decides the Seahawks can challenge for the division, but drops them to No. 24 anyway.
As he does say in the title of the piece, "Your team is probably ranked too low."
The rest of the NFC West is hanging out towards the bottom, with the St. Louis Rams checking in at No. 28 and the Arizona Cardinals at No. 31.
The Seahawks meet the Cardinals to open the regular season on Sunday afternoon in University of Phoenix Stadium.
