Seahawks' New TE Evan Moore 'Feels Like A Rookie' At First Seattle Practice

The Seattle Seahawks' newest acquisition, tight end Evan Moore, was at practice for the first time at the VMAC on Monday, and it was the end of a hectic few days for the fifth-year veteran. Moore was waived by the Cleveland Browns on Friday, but was signed by the Seahawks on Saturday before flying to Seattle on Sunday.

Moore talked with Seahawks.com about the process of starting out with a new team:

"Considering these guys all just went through camp together, I’m kind of the new guy," he said. "You almost feel like a rookie. You walk in the building and everybody’s looking at you like, ‘Who’s this guy?’

"There is a learning curve, but fortunately there’s a lot of translation between what we did in Cleveland and what we’re doing here – both in terminology and schematically, and X’s and O’s, and all that. I’m fortunate that’s the case."

The 27-year-old out of Stanford was added by the Seahawks after they waived tight end Kellen Winslow. Moore caught 34 passes for 324 yards and four touchdowns in 2011.
