Jackson completed 60.2% of his passes last season with the Seahawks but was sacked 42 times.
With the play of quarterbacks Matt Flynn and Russell Wilson thus far in the preseason, incumbent Tarvaris Jackson has become expendable and the Seahawks are looking to trade him, according to a tweet from Jason La Canfora.
The destination looks to be Green Bay at the moment, though there could be possible snags in Jackson joining the team as Aaron Rodgers' backup. Jackson is set to make $4 million this season, and that's expensive for a backup quarterback, especially behind the likes of Rodgers whom rarely misses games. It is thought that Green Bay will want some level of compensation for taking Jackson's contract off of the Seahawks' hands.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll has continued to say that Jackson was fully entrenched in the quarterback battle in Seattle. But with Wilson proving what everyone felt about him coming into the draft and Flynn being steady, Jackson doesn't seem to be needed anymore.
