Kasey Kahne will need to fight tooth and nail for the next five races to make sure his Wild Card sport is secure in the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. There are only five races left before the cutoff and there are several drivers within striking distance.
Meanwhile, Greg Biffle enters Sunday's race at Watkins Glen just six points behind overall Sprint Cup leader Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and all bets will be off in the Finger Lakes 355. That's the good news. The bad news is that neither Biffle nor Kahne have terrific positioning in Sunday's starting lineup and will need to hold off an entire field of determined drivers.
Sunday's race will be televised on ESPN. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 10:20 a.m. PT. There is a low chance of rain and the temperature should be in the high 70s. There IS live streaming of the race today, which can be found at NASCAR.com's "RaceBuddy" site and on the "Watch ESPN" app. If you'll be away from your computer and TV, check the Motor Racing Network's web site for a list of affiliate radio stations in your area.
