2012 Wimbledon Scores And Results: Serena Williams Adds Doubles Title To Singles Championship

Serena Williams' 2012 Wimbledon Tournament went about as well as it could possibly go, as she added to her victory in the Ladies' singles tournament with a win in the Ladies' doubles tournament late Saturday. She captured the doubles title for the fifth time with sister Venus Williams, and in all five doubles victories one of the two has also won the singles tournament. They were victorious over Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka in straight sets, 7-5 and 6-4. It is the 14th Grand Slam doubles title for the two.

2012 Wimbledon was the first doubles tournament the sisters had entered in two years, and they entered in order to prepare for the 2012 Summer Olympics. They head to London as two-time defending gold medal winners.
