Nate Robinson Close to Signing With Chicago Bulls

Stay connected for news and updates

Old UW favorite Nate Robinson is rumored to be signing with the Chicago Bulls barring unforeseen circumstances, the Chicago Tribune reported earlier today.

The Bulls backcourt situation should supply Robinson with plenty of minutes early on. He would be the primary back-up to Kirk Hinrich while Derrick Rose recovers from ACL surgery.

Robinson played pretty well for the Golden State Warriors last year, averaging 11.2 points, 1.2 steals and a career high 4.5 assists in just 23.5 minutes per game.

Around the league the diminutive Robinson always remains a fan favorite for his boisterous personality and his freakish athletic ability, specifically his ability to jump really, really high. Despite standing at only 5'9", Robinson is the only player in NBA history to win the slam dunk contest three times, including his most memorable win where he leapt over Dwight Howard to slam it home.

Robinson has also played for New York, Boston, and Oklahoma City during his nine-year career.
