Olympics Opening Ceremony 2012: TV Schedule, Watch Online, Live Updates And More

If you are living in Seattle and wish to watch the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony live, you are out of luck. The Opening Ceremony will be tape delayed on the East Coast and as a result, will also be tape delayed on the West Coast as well. To avoid spoilers, viewers will have to do their best to avoid the Internet until the events are televised in the United States.

Named "The Isles of Wonder," the event is being directed by Oscar-award winning movie director Danny Boyle. The Opening Ceremony will feature the traditional parade of nations and lighting of the olympic Cauldron. At the same time, the event will attempt to display United Kingdom's culture on the biggest stage in the world.

West Coast viewers can watch the Opening Ceremony beginning at 7:30 p.m. PT on NBC. The airing will last until 12:00 a.m. PT. The event will not be streamed live online, but clips and highlights of the show will be available on NBCOlympics.com prior to its tape delayed showing in the United States.
