Can Amada Furrer bring home the gold?

As the 2012 Olympic games in London are set to get underway, 21 year-old Amanda Furrer is getting ready to shoot her country onto the podium as part of the United States shooting team for this year's games.

The Spokane, WA native qualified for a spot on the Olympic team when she won the nationals earlier this year, making her just one of two American women to shoot in the three-position 50m competition in London.

She's been shooting since the age of 11 under the guidance of her father. By the age of 13 she got her frist Anschutz .22 caliber, which she's been using ever since and never looked back. This will be her first Olympic games, but is more than ready to bring some precious metals back to the Evergreen State.

Below you can watch her take part in some shooting, care of KHQ.
