Masters 2012 Leaderboard: Ben Crane One Back At 2-Under, Phil Mickelson At 1-Over Through Nine

Ben Crane is making a run at it in the first round of the 2012 Masters. He started off the front nine slow with one bogey and one birdie, but he turned it up at Amen Corner, birdieing the 11th and the 13th holes to get within one of the lead.

Phil Mickelson has had one of those seesaw days to start out. He bogeyed the difficult first hole to start out, then birdied the third hole. He immediately gave one back on the sixth before getting it back on the par-five 8th. Mickelson struggled again to get his footing on the ninth hole, and he bogeyed to go to +1 at the turn.

Currently several players are standing in a tie at three-under to lead this Thursday's round. Lee Westwood has fallen back to -3, while plenty of international representation took place: Paul Lawrie of Scotland, Miguel A. Jimenez of Spain, Francesco Molinari of Italy, Jason Dufner and Bubba Watson of the United States, Lee Westwood of England and Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa.

Among the golfers, with Seattle ties, Fred Couples stands at +1 after twelve holes, and Kyle Stanley wrapped up at +3.
