2013 NFL Mock Draft: Kenjon Barner To Detroit Lions, Jordan Poyer To New England Patriots

Stay connected for news and updates

There are two solid possibilities from the Pac-12 Northwestern schools that could get drafted in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft next season. Kenjon Barner of the Oregon Ducks figures to be a ready fit for an NFL offense like LaMichael James. Jordan Poyer is likely to be the best cover corner in the Pac-12 for the Oregon St. Beavers.

Ryan Van Bibber of SB Nation released his first mock for next season, and both these players are featured. Barner goes 28th to the Detroit Lions to become their feature back, while Poyer goes 29th to the New England Patriots.

28. Detroit Lions, Kenjon Barner, RB, Oregon

Just what the Lions need, more speed in their offense.

29. New England Patriots, Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State

I like the decision to take a risk on Alfonzo Dennard, scourge of the Lincoln, NE, police department. Poyer adds a blue chip starter who plays aggressive.

To talk about Barner with Oregon football fans, head on over to Addicted to Quack. To learn more about Poyer from Oregon State football fans, go to Building the Dam. Discuss Barner with Lions fans at Pride of Detroit and Poyer with Patriots fans at Pats Pulpit.
