Tony Wroten Declares For The NBA Draft

It looks like the Washington Huskies' worst nightmare has come to fruition.

Freshman guard Tony Wroten will follow fellow Huskies standout Terrence Ross to the NBA.

According to multiple tweets, Wroten has declared his intentions to enter the draft after only one season with the Huskies.

Wroten is quoted in one tweet saying, "Husky fans are the best in the nation... It was great that I stayed home and I know the UW will always be by my side."

Wroten definitely leaves a mark in his one season. He leaves after setting UW freshman scoring, assists and steals records while taking the Huskies to the NIT semifinals. He was the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and a first team All-Pac-12 selection. He gave his reasons for leaving to gohuskies.com.

"I have been talking with my friends and family and I just felt like this was the right time," Wroten said of his decision that he decided to announce on the same day of his mother Shirley's birthday. "I love the University of Washington, but I just feel that it's best for me to make the jump."

Wroten is currently ranked as the no. 19 prospect in the draft by ESPN.com's Chad Ford.
