Pead will add versatility to the Rams' backfield alongside Stephen Jackson.
With the 50th pick of the 2nd round in the 2012 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams have selected Isaiah Pead, a running back from Cincinatti. Pead should be productive running in between the tackles even though he lacks ideal size. Adding him to Stephen Jackson in St. Louis will give the Rams a two-back attack with versatility. Here is more on Pead from Sports Illustrated.
Pead was very productive the past three seasons and is a multipurpose running back who picks up yardage with his legs, as a receiver and offers return skills. He'll be a solid addition at the next level as a situational runner/third-down back.
The Rams' next pick is the second selection of the 3rd round, 65th overall. Head over to NFL.com to track every pick as the Draft moves on.
