NFL Draft Results 2012: Stanford OG David DeCastro, Selected By Pittsburgh Steelers

With the 24th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers filled a major need when they selected Stanford OG David DeCastro, out of Stanford.

DeCastro, who prepped at Washington powerhouse Bellevue HS, was the first interior lineman selected in the draft and was rated by many as the best offensive linemen in the entire draft.

Of DeCastro, ESPN's Todd McShay tweeted the following after the Steelers' pick was announced:

DeCastro should be a great fit for a team that puts high priority on its running game, in the ultra-competitive AFC North.

DeCastro was a favorite of Seahawks fans heading into the draft, both for his local ties, but also the team's perceived need along the offensive line.
