Pete Carroll Turns Down Arkansas Coaching Job, According To Report

Stay connected for news and updates

According to a report form King News 5, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was allegedly contacted by the University of Arkansas to possibly fill their head coaching vacancy, but Carroll has told them thanks, but no thanks.

With Bobby Petrino's motorcycle accident turned full-blown scandal, Arkansas is looking for a big splash to replace him, with rumors already swirling about that former NFL coach and current NFL Network analyst Steve Marriucci is interested in the position. CBS sports is also reporting that former Tennessee head coach Phillip Fulmer has contact the school about the opening as well.

Carroll took his time and waited for the right moment to jump back into the NFL as a head coach, and has been doing a fine job withthe Seahawks. There really isn't any reason to go back to the collegiate ranks, unless some gluttonous amount of money was involved.
