NFL Draft 2012: Alameda Ta'amu Scouting Report And Potential Landing Spots

Which NFL team will draft former Washington stand-out Alameda Ta'amu? The NFL draft is approaching and analysts around the internet are pitching in their different reasons why certain teams should be targeting this defensive lineman prospect.

Here's what one writer from NEPatriotsDraft.com thinks of Ta'amu's strengths:

Massive, prototypical weight for a NT in a 4-3 or 3-4 - Carries weight very well - Could actually add weight/power to his already 348 lb. frame - Uses combination of length, leg drive, wiggle to get inside blockers and into the backfield (Via: NEPatriotsDraft.com)

One team that might be after Ta'amu is the New Orleans Saints whose top priority is defensive tackle, according to draft report by the National Football Post:

This is the kind of guy who has the ability to anchor the middle of an NFL defense in either a 3-4 or 4-3 front. (Via: National Football Post)

The Saints' first pick is No. 89 overall in the third round. Currently, Ta'amu has been projected to go as high as No. 49 overall in the second round in ESPN's Todd McShay's latest mock draft.
