Pac-12 Tournament 2012: Colorado Defeats Arizona 53-51 To Claim Conference Championship

The final game of the 2012 Pac-12 Tournament took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon. The No. 4 seed Arizona Wildcats went up against the No. 6 Colorado Buffaloes for the conference title and accompanying berth to the 2012 NCAA Tournament. Buffalo eventually managed the 53-51 upset win.

The Wildcats fell behind early and were trailing for much of the game, but battled back in an exciting second half. It all came down to the final possession. The Wildcats managed to cut the lead to within two with less than 20 seconds remaining. They fouled Colorado and the Buffaloes missed both free throws. Arizona grabbed the rebound and had plenty of time to tie the game and force an overtime, but were unable to get a shot off and the Buffaloes won the game and the 2012 Pac-12 Championship.

Colorado's Spencer Dinwiddie and Arizona's Kyle Fogg led all scorers with 14 points. Buffaloes forward Andre Roberson had a solid game and a double-double, putting up 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Colorado will now be heading to the 2012 NCAA Tournament and a chance at a national title. Not bad for a No. 6 seed.

Pac-12 Tournament 2012: Bracket, Schedule And More

Four northwest area teams entered the 2012 Pac-12 Tournament in hopes of claiming the conference championship and its accompanying 2012 NCAA Tournament berth. The Washington Huskies claimed the regular-season title and entered as the top seed, in search of their third straight conference championship. The Oregon Ducks entered as the No. 3 seed and seemed to have a decent shot as well.

But of course, it didn't work out that way. Both the Ducks and the Huskies were sent packing in the quarterfinals, in their first games of the tournament. The No. 9 seeded Oregon St. Beavers personally eliminated two area teams by themselves, knocking off the No. 8 seed Washington St. Cougars in the first round before upsetting the Huskies in the quarterfinals. For a brief moment, it appeared as though they might just upset the No. 4 seed Arizona Wildcats in the semifinals and make it all the way to the championship game before their season -- and the seasons of all northwest teams, save for perhaps Gonzaga -- came to an end.

It's all come down to Saturday and one last game for the Pac-12 title. The Wildcats will face off against the No. 6 seed Colorado Buffaloes, who scored an upset win over the No. 2 California Golden Bears in Friday's nightcap.

Pac-12 Tournament: Oregon State Eliminated From Tourney By Arizona, 72-61

After pulling off the upset of the Pac-12 tournament, the Oregon State Beavers could not keep the Arizona Wildcats down and put them away. The Beavers had a seven-point lead at halftime, but the Wildcats came out at the start of the second half and went on a 20-3 run that the Beavers could not recover from. In the end, the Beavers lost 72-61 to Arizona in the tournament semi-finals.

For Oregon State, the leading scorer was Robert Nelson, who came off the bench for 19 points. Devin Collier added 15 points and eight rebounds, while Jared Cunningham added 14.

Arizona's Kyle Fogg came alive in the second half, scoring 17 of his 22 points after halftime. Jesse Perry came off the bench for 16 points and 11 boards. Solomon Hill was the only other Wildcat in double figures with 12.

The Beavers now end their season. They were 19-13 in the regular season, going 7-11 in the conference. As the number nine seed, they upset the regular season conference champion Washington Huskies before falling to Arizona Friday night.

Pac-12 Tournament 2012 Bracket Reactions to the Quarterfinals

If you didn't watch the insanity that was the Oregon State Beavers upset of the Washington Huskies, take a few moments out of your day to read the thread on the Dawg Pound. But the story of the day will be missed free throws. The Huskies were downright abysmal from the charity stripe, and none more so then super frosh Tony Wroten who missed four straight in the closing minute.

Screen_shot_2012-03-08_at_11

The comments really can go on forever. Although Wroten had a solid game (aside from the finish), it isn't hard to find the goat for the Huskies in this game, or people that are skeptical about their chances on getting picked come Selection Sunday.

Montlake Madness · The Fan Site for UW Husky Basketball

We may have the distinction of being the first Power 6 Conference regular season title winner to be left out of the NCAA since the field expanded to 64 teams. What an honor.

Husky Men's Basketball Blog | Is UW bound for the NCAA tourney or NIT? | Seattle Times Newspaper

Romar said Wroten's final four shots looked good, with the exception of the second to last attempt. Other thought they looked a bit rushed. Whatever the case, the results were symptomatic for a UW team that struggled at the line all season. The Huskies ranked 11th in the conference with a 61.8 shooting percentage on free throws. Today they were 46.2 percent (12 of 26) at the charity stripe.

Oregon State making itself believe - College Basketball Nation Blog - ESPN

Washington, even with the Pac-12 regular-season title, must now sweat out Selection Sunday. The Huskies’ nonconference resume has nothing to shout about. The worst home loss -- a blowout to South Dakota State -- might look better now that the Jackrabbits won the Summit League title. But that’s still a team from the Summit going into Seattle and getting a win.

Needless to say this was a devastating loss for a team that already had a shaky resume in a conference that has a shaky standing amongst the national opinion. Unfortunately for Husky fans everywhere, they find themselves on the wrong side of Selection Sunday this year.

2012 Pac-12 Basketball Tournament, Oregon State Vs. Arizona: Bracket, Schedule And More

The Pac-12 tournament moves into the semifinal rounds on Friday evening and the surprise of the tournament will be in action at 6 p.m. PST. One day after upsetting top seeded Washington, Craig Robinson and the Oregon State Beavers will look to extend their season a little bit more when they take on the Arizona Wildcats .

Here's what you need to know:

Game 1 Teams: #4 Arizona Wildcats (22-10, 12-6 Pac-12) vs #9 Oregon State Beavers (19-13, 7-11 Pac-12)

Date, Game Time: Friday March 9th, 6:00 PM PST

Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA

TV: FSN

Series this season: Arizona won the only matchup between these two teams this year. Due to the unbalanced schedule in the Pac-12 the Beavers made the trip to Tuscon but never had the favor returned. While Oregon State couldn't pull out the victory, they did push the Wildcats to overtime losing 81-73. The narrow loss might be enough motivation to keep the positive momentum going for Oregon State on Friday night.

Pac-12 Basketball Tournament 2012: Onto the Semifinals; Bracket, Schedule and More

Did the Pac 12 regular conference winner's bubble burst? The Washington Huskies are about as firmly on the bubble as possible after the No. 9 seed Oregon State Beavers upset the No. 1 seed Huskies 86-84. The Huskies looked listless in the first half but eventually battled back from a 13 point halftime deficit. The end of the game was either the drama of March or perfectly sums up the state of Pac 12 basketball, depending on your point of view. The teams combined for six straight missed free-throws in the final 30 seconds, 4 of which came from Husky phenom Tony Wroten.

Solomon Hill put the Arizona Wildcats on his back in a 66-58 over the UCLA Bruins. Hill finished with 25 points, 12 rebounds and three steals to offset six turnovers. Arizona was buoyed by fantastic free throw shooting, going 24 for 27 from the charity stripe. The loss pretty much guarantees UCLA will miss the NCAA tournament for the second time in three years.

Cal avenged last week's Stanford setback behind Jorge Gutierrez's 22 points, 19 of which were scored in the second half. Stanford freshmen Chasson Randle ended with 16 points but was harassed into 5-16 shooting as the No. 2 seeded Bears advanced to the semi-finals.

No. 3 seed Oregon and No. 6 seed Colorado battled it out for the entire game before Colorado finally pulled away with 10 seconds left en route to a 63-62 upset. Andre Robinson grabbed his 10th rebound and put the ball in the basket, notching his 18th Pac 12 double double this year.

Here is an interesting factoid though: never in the history of the Pac 12 tournament have all of the day's games been decided by single digits.

Here is the Pac 12 bracket as it stands now. The semifinals begin tomorrow live at Staples Center.

Colorado vs. Oregon: Buffaloes Upset Ducks In Waning Seconds 63-62

The Colorado Buffaloes went into halftime with a one point lead over the Oregon Ducks. Whatever both coaches told their teams in halftime must have worked. Colorado led by as many as eight in the second half before before a cold spell on the floor led to an Oregon 10 point run to take a 60-58 lead with 2:30 left. Andre Robinson scored the go-ahead basket with 10 seconds left after picking up his 10th rebound and his 18th double double in conference play. Devoe Joseph missed the game winning three pointer as Colorado pulled off the upset 63-62.

Oregon was plagued by terrible outside shooting, only hitting 4-22 from three point range. E.J. Singler was 1-6 and Devoe Joseph was 0-7. The Ducks kept it close by out rebounding the smaller Colorado line-up 38-25. The loss most likely ends any talk Oregon had of a potential at-large bid while Colorado will move onto the semifinals to face the No. 2 seed Cal.

Pac 12 Tournament 2012, Oregon vs. Colorado: Buffaloes Lead Ducks at Halftime 34-33

From the looks of the first minute it looked like No. 3 seed Oregon Ducks would be running away in this game by quick three pointers from E.J. Singler and Garrett Sims. Oregon would stretch the lead 10-4 before the Colorado Buffaloes called a quick time-out. Colorado slowly chipped away to tie it at 15, and from then on out Oregon and Colorado traded baskets back and forth to a 34-33 Buffalo lead.

Colorado shot 51.7% from the floor and went three for eight from three point range. Oregon's outside shots aren't falling in too easily going 4-15 behind the arc. Oregon shot 37% for the floor, but kept it close with 14 field goals to Colorado's 15. Colorado went with a small line-up for most of the game which led to a 21-12 rebounding edge for Oregon. Andre Robertson for Colorado and Tony Woods and Garrett Sims for Oregon lead all scorers with eight points. Both teams have six turnovers.

Pac 12 Tournament Bracket, Quarterfinals 2012: Arizona Knocks Off UCLA

In the first game of the evening Oregon State knocked off top seeded Washington and now the Arizona Wildcats are up next for the upstart Beavers. At this point in the season both teams appear to likely need a Pac 12 tournament championship and subsequent automatic bid if they hope to play in the NCAA tournament.

The two programs played just once during the regular season in a Tuscon and it took the Wildcats overtime to dispose of Oregon State at home. The final score in that game was 81 to 73 with both teams playing ugly offensively early on. with top seeded Washington out of the way, Arizona would appear poised to take advantage of a pretty big opportunity.

It's been widely reported that the Pac 12 was looking at somewhere between one to three teams in terms of NCAA tournament bids. After losing to Arizona State in the regular season finale Arizona was viewed as someone on the outside looking in. With Washington now firmly on the bubble once again and now out of the tournament, Arizona needs to beat eighth seeded Oregon State and they will find themselves playing for the automatic bid on Saturday.

The two teams will tip off tomorrow night at the Staples Center at 6 p.m. Pacific time. The game will again be televised on Fox Sports Net.

2012 Pac-12 Basketball Tournament: Bracket, Schedule And More

Oregon State advanced to the Pac 12 semifinals in a bit of a shocker beating top seeded Washington in 86 to 84.The season hasn't exactly gone as everyone would have liked at Oregon State. An eighth place finish in a down Pac 12 Conference has Beaver Head Coach Craig Robinson looking over his shoulder in terms of job security, but the win over Washington provided an emotional lift that could provide a positive memory to cap off the season. Robinson summed up the emotional win for his team in the post game press conference.

We have fought hard and lost our share of games five points and under, and it's not due to this guy's these guys'-- hard work. It's not due to these guys' lack of hard work, I should say. I mean, every day, four overtimes, one overtime. The next day, they come to work as if they had won the game. So this win is for these guys in that locker room, as well as our fans and our staff and all that kind of stuff. But it's special and emotional for these guys because they've been working this hard since the end of the season last year.

Obviously the best news for the Beavers is that the win over Washington means that Oregon State will live to play another day and in a Pac 12 with this much parity it's anyone's guess how far they could advance. Win two more games in Los Angeles and Oregon State could find themselves playing in the NCAA tournament. While it might not be likely, neither was beating Washington.

Oregon State awaits the winner of UCLA vs. Arizona in the second game of the early session.

Oregon State Vs. Washington Final Score: Beavers Shock Huskies 86-84

The Washington Huskies looked like they were in dire straits against the Oregon State Beavers. Struggling with the 2-3 zone early and flustered by the playmaking of Jared Cunningham, the Beavers soared out to a big halftime lead. Thanks to solid support from Devon Collier, Ahmad Starks and Joe Burton, Oregon State looked like they were in solid position up 13.

But out came Washington to start the second half on a 33-12 run to take back control. Oregon State looked like they were pressing as they had all sorts of issues figuring out the Washington zone and UW started to figure out how to attack their defense. However, after leading for most of the second half, Oregon State made one last rally, and took the lead on a Jared Cunningham drive to the basket. Tony Wroten then missed four free throws badly (any of which could've tied or given Washington the lead) that allowed the Beavers to eventually sow up their bid.

Cunningham led the way for Oregon State with 18 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, Devon Collier finished with 19 points and seven rebounds, Joe Burton had another solid all around game with 14 points, five rebounds and six assists, Ahmad Starks put in 14 points and Eric Moreland added 13 points. Wroten scored 27 points, but needed 23 field goal attempts and 16 free throw attempts to reach that total. Terrence Ross got 15 points but also needed 16 shots. C.J. Wilcox added 16 and Abdul Gaddy put in 13.

Washington's NCAA tournament hopes are now in deep trouble, as they've probably danced their way off the bubble with this loss.

Washington Vs. Oregon State Score: Beavers Lead Huskies 46-33 At Halftime

The Washington Huskies are sitting right on the bubble despite being the Pac-12 regular season champions. They could fall right into the muck if they get upset on Thursday by the Oregon St. Beavers.

Washington was in a seesaw affair for most of the first half before Oregon State finished the second half on a 27-12 run to go up by 13 at halftime. Everyone for the Beavers is producing, particularly Jared Cunningham, who's come alive after a lackluster Wednesday performance against Washington State. Cunningham has put up 10 points, five rebounds, three assists, and has several steals. Ahmad Starks has unleashed three triples to start up the game with 11 points, and Devon Collier added 10 points.

Washington has gotten solid numbers from Tony Wroten (10 points on 4-9 shooting) and C.J. Wilcox (eight points on 3-7 shooting), but Terrence Ross has seven points on 11 field goal attempts and Abdul Gaddy is 2-7. The Huskies are shooting 34% to Oregon State's 41% and have a few more turnovers as well.

Pac-12 Tournament 2012 Bracket Reactions: Washington State Falls To Oregon State

Round one of the Pac-12 tournament is finished. Here's some reaction from the SB Nation network readers of Oregon State's 69-64 quarterfinal victory over Washington State on Wednesday:

Oregon State 69, Washington State 64

Frustrating at times, of course, but a win is a win and we are advancing. If we are to beat Washington, we have to get better performances from our guards. Our guards as a group averaged 3.8 points, and that’s just not good enough. But hey, I’m thrilled with this victory. This should at least get us in talks for the NIT, and a win tomorrow should put us right on the bubble. --(Via: Building the Dam commenter, ConnorOSU)

Down 3 with a little over a minute. Miss 2 free throws. Give up an easy 2 with less than a minute. Go down the court and dribble and pass aimlessly wasting time only to have Reggie chuck up a contested three and miss?

Yeah me too. Thank goodness that season is over. (Via: CougCenter commenter, ttclaus)

The Beavers will face the No. 1 seed Washington Huskies at 12 p.m. on Thursday at the Staples Center. ROOT Sports will be televising the game.

Pac-12 Tournament Bracket, Quarterfinals 2012: Washington Faces Oregon State In Quarterfinals

After day one of Pac-12 tournament action at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the quarterfinal games for Thursday have been set.

Thanks to a 69-64 victory over the No. 8 seed Washington State Cougars, the No. 9 Oregon State Beavers will face No. 1 Washington at 12 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. Oregon State jumped out to a 24-8 lead to start the game and hit free-throws down the stretch to ward off a late Cougar rally.

No. 5 UCLA took down No. 12 USC, 55-40. Seattle-native Joshua Smith did not play for the Bruins the entire first half as a punishment for missing the team bus. Smith only played eight minutes in the effort, finishing with five points.

In the third first-round game, No. 7 Stanford beat No. 10 Arizona State, 85-65. Bellevue-native Aaron Bright came off the Bench for the Cardinal and scoring 11 points and dishing out five assists in 25 minutes of play.

No. 6 Colorado's 53-41 victory over the No. 11 Utah Utes capped off the first day of the Pac-12 tournament. Andre Robinson led the Buffaloes with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Pac-12 Tournament TV Schedule 2012: Washington Faces Oregon State, Oregon Battles Colorado In Quarterfinals

The Washington Huskies and the Oregon St. Beavers get to battle it out for a right to advance to the semifinals. Washington did best Oregon State in their two head-to-head meetings, but the matchup in Corvallis came down to the final seconds. Washington will be looking for a strong performance to try and take advantage of the fatigued Beavers. Whoever wins the Oregon State-Washington contest will be in a semifinal matchup with the Arizona-UCLA winner.

The Oregon Ducks are located at the opposite side of the spectrum as the three seed, where they figure to play one of the toughest semifinal contests against the Colorado Buffaloes. If Oregon wins that, they have a short turnaround before matching up with the Cal-Stanford winner the next night. But the Pacific Northwest stands a good chance of having two teams in the Pac-12 Tournament semifinals.

Pac-12 Tournament 2012: Oregon State Beats Washington State 69-64

The Oregon St. Beavers got off to a rocking start in Staples Center against the Washington St. Cougars by crashing the boards and getting some huge three point production by Ahmad Starks, nailing several triples to give OSU what looked like a dominant 24-8 lead with 12:37 left in the first half.

But back came WSU. Switching back from zone to man, Washington State stifled Oregon State on offense. On the other side of the ball, the Cougars worked the ball inside as much as they could thanks to the playmaking of Reggie Moore (five points and five assists during the run), and the Cougars powered on a 24-4 run to recapture the lead, then held on to a 39-38 advantage at halftime.

Oregon State and Washington State see-sawed for most of the second half, as the teams exchanged leads and never really could pull away from each other. The defenses also stepped up, as both teams struggled to clear 70 after being on pace for 80 after one half. But WSU's offense totally stalled, as Moore shot 3 for 18 and the Cougars couldn't feed the basketball enough to Brock Motum (who took only ten shots, finishing with 16 points). Oregon State took the lead with two minutes or so left and got all the stops they needed against the Cougars the rest of the way. Marcus Capers added 14 points and six rebounds before fouling out.

Oregon State won despite getting practically nothing from Jared Cunningham, who hit only one field goal. Devon Collier kept the Beavers offense going most of the way, scoring 19 points on 7 of 8 field goals, but Joe Burton was the crucial cog, hitting 5-7 shots and finishing with 15 points and four rebounds. Eric Moreland added nine points and nine boards.

Oregon State will now take on No. 1 Washington tomorrow at noon PT at the Staples Center.

Pac-12 Tournament Will Move To Las Vegas, According To Reports

Looks like the Pac-12's postseason tournament will be heading to the City of Lights, according to reports.

Salt Lake City was also in the running but it looks like the Pac-12 tournament will move to Las Vegas starting next year. The tournament has been held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for 11 years but the crowd numbers have not been to the Pac-12's liking. The contract with the Staples Center is up after this week's tournament, and after dropping to below 60,000 fans last year - including only 12,074 for the title game between the Washington Huskies and Arizona Wildcats - the Pac-12 is looking for a change.

Jeff Robbins, the president and CEO of the Utah Sports Commisssion, put together a proposal to get the tournament in Salt Lake City in 2013 and 2014 but is sure that his dream will not come to be. Robbins spoke with the Salt Lake City Tribune.

"We really haven't received any information," Robbins said. "We're a little bit like everybody else, just waiting to see. The only thing we were told is they were hoping to hear around the conference tournament."

If what Robbins hears is anything different than the words ‘Las Vegas', it'll be a shock to everyone involved.

Pac-12 Tournament 2012 Bracket And Schedule: Washington Enters As No. 1 Seed, May Face WSU In Quarterfinals

The Northwest will be cheering for four different teams this week at the 2012 Pac-12 Basketball Tournament in Los Angeles, although rooting allegiances will be split right from the outset.

The No. 9 Oregon St. Beavers will be taking on the No. 8 Washington St. Cougars in the opening round on Wednesday. The Cougars won easily in both regular-season games between the two teams, so the Beavers will be hoping they can find an answer for WSU. Whoever wins this first-round matchup will take on the Washington Huskies, who are sitting pretty as the No. 1 seed in the tournament.

The other area team, the Oregon Ducks, also receive a first-round bye, as they hold the No. 2 seed. They will play on Thursday against the winner of the game between the No. 6 Colorado Buffaloes and the No. 11 Utah Utes. Given the drubbing that the Utes received the last time they faced Oregon, they may actually be hoping not to advance.

You can find the full TV schedule for the entire tournament below. All times are Pacific.

Pac-12 Tournament: Washington Clinches No. 1 Seed, Will Face WSU/OSU Winner

With the loss by Cal to Stanford, the Washington Huskies have clinched the Pac-12 title outright. UW earns the number one seed and will play the winner of the No. 8/No. 9 matchup. And they’ll be playing one of two teams they’re plenty familiar with playing.

The Washington St. Cougars and Oregon St. Beavers have a first round matchup as the No. 8 and the No. 9 seed. They will play each other at noon PT on Wednesday at the Staples Center, with the winner going on to face Washington. Both of them were swept by the Huskies in the season series, although Washington State came close to winning both their matchups.

The Oregon Ducks locked up the number three seed earlier this week, and will play the winner of the matchup between the sixth and eleventh seeds, i.e. the Colorado Buffaloes and the Utah Utes. Colorado should be able to win that one easily, setting up a matchup between a team Oregon owned this past Thursday (although the Ducks did lose narrowly in Colorado earlier this year).

Here’s the full list of matchups, times, and TV information below:

First Round: Wednesday, March 7
Noon: No. 8 Washington State vs. No. 9 Oregon State (Fox Sports Net)
2:30 p.m.: No. 5 UCLA vs. No. 12 USC (Fox Sports Net)
6 p.m.: No. 7 Stanford vs. No. 10 Arizona State (Fox Sports Net)
8:30 p.m.: No. 6 Colorado vs. No. 11 Utah (Fox Sports Net)

Second Round: Thursday, March 8
12 p.m.: No. 1 Washington vs. Oregon State/Washington State winner (Fox Sports Net)
2:30 p.m.: No. 4 Arizona vs. UCLA/USC winner (Fox Sports Net)
6 p.m.: No. 2 Cal vs. Stanford/Arizona State winner (Fox Sports Net)
8:30 p.m.: No. 3 Oregon vs. Colorado/Utah winner (Fox Sports Net)

Semifinals: Friday, March 9
6 p.m. - Semifinal #1: Winners of early Thursday games (Fox Sports Net)
8:30 p.m. - Semifinal #2: Winners of evening Thursday games (Fox Sports Net)

Championship: Saturday, March 10
3 p.m. - Championship Game (CBS)

Pac-12 Tournament: Washington Fails To Clinch No. 1 Seed, Washington State Wins No. 8 Seed

The Washington Huskies and Washington St. Cougars both wrapped up their regular seasons on Saturday. While the Huskies fell short by a final score of 75-69 against the UCLA Bruins, the Cougars managed to defeat the USC Trojans at home, 43-38.

The Huskies missed out on a chance to clinch the No. 1 seed in the 2012 Pac-12 Tournament outright. Although they held a 47-44 lead heading into halftime, they wilted in the second half, managing just 22 points after the break. C.J. Wilcox led all scorers with 22 points in the losing effort.

The Cougars made a 22-14 first half hold up and handed the Trojans a loss to wrap up USC's season by extending their losing streak to nine in a row. Brock Motum scored more than half of WSU's points and led all scorers with 27 points.

Washington will now be watching Sunday's game between the California Golden Bears and the Stanford Cardinal with great interest. If Stanford wins the game, the Huskies will enter the Pac-12 tournament as the No. 1 seed. If Cal picks up the win, Washington will have to settle for No. 2. They'll receive a first-round bye either way, of course.

As for the Cougars, they improve to 7-11 and finish the season with the same record as the Oregon St. Beavers. Due to the Cougars having won both regular season games against the Beavers, Washington State now holds the No. 8 seed heading into the tournament, which begins on Wednesday.

Pac-12 Tournament: Oregon, Oregon State Pick Up Season Finale Victories

Both Pac-12 Oregon schools ended their regular season on a winning note with big home wins on Saturday. The Oregon Ducks fairly whomped on the Utah Utes en route to a 94-48 victory, while the Oregon St. Beavers picked up a 83-69 win over the visiting Colorado Buffaloes.

The Ducks coasted to a victory after opening up a 34-2 lead over the Utes in the first half. Devoe Joseph led all scorers with 21 points for Oregon, while E.J. Singler picked up a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Beavers also had little trouble dispatching the Buffaloes and outscored Colorado by 11 points in the second half. Ahmad Starks led scorers with 18 points, while his OSU teammate Roberto Nelson, added 16 for the winning side.

Oregon will enter next week's Pac-12 Tournament as the No. 3 seed, no matter what happens with Cal vs. Stanford or Arizona vs. ASU on Sunday.

Oregon State finishes the season with a 7-11 conference record. Although Washington State also holds a 7-11 Pac-12 record, the Cougars hold a tiebreaker by winning both head-to-head games during the regular season. As a result, OSU will enter the tournament as the No. 9 seed.
