Saturday's 3A final game will be an All-Metro affair after Seattle Prep overcame a nine-point fourth quarter defecit to defeat the Kamiakin Braves, 50-46.
D.J. Fenner's 18 points, ten of them coming in the fourth quarter keyed Seattle Prep's comeback over the Braves.
The Braves' shot a lights out 57.9 percent from the field in the first half, but were held to 40 percent shooting in the second half. Seattle Prep outscored Kamiakin 16-7 in the fourth quarter; the Braves did not make a shot from the field in the final four minutes of the game.
Kamiakin senior Justin Pedley led the Braves with 19 points, shooting 7-for-12 from the field. Seattle Prep's Mitch Brewe added 11 points and 7 rebounds.
Seattle Prep will take on the Rainier Beach Vikings in the 3A state championship on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Tacoma Dome. Kamiakin will play University for third place at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
