NIT 2012 Results: Oregon Ducks Pour On Points, Beat Iowa 108-97

The Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies are going to get one last crack at each other. The stakes for this matchup will be a trip to Madison Square Garden for the NIT Final Four.

Oregon was killing it offensively for most of this contest. The Ducks shot 60% from the field, nailed ten threes, and more importantly hit 28 of 32 free throws. E.J. Singler only missed one shot on his way to 25 points and six rebounds, Devoe Joseph added 15 points and eight assists, and Garrett Sim put in 15 points of his own. Olu Ashaolu added 22 points and six boards, Carlos Emory 19 points and seven rebounds. Oregon put up 61 points in the second half to overcome an early Iowa deficit and pull away from the Hawkeyes in the second half.

Oregon will now face Washington on Tuesday night in Seattle, with a chance to advance to the semifinals and Madison Square Garden for the NIT Final Four.
