Washington Vs. Oregon Score Update: Ducks Dominating Huskies Through First Half

Stay connected for news and updates

So far, nothing has gone right for the Washington Huskies in their Thursday night Pac-12 game against the Oregon Ducks. The Ducks lead the Huskies 49-26 at the end of the first half, with Washington struggling offensively.

The Huskies' 10 minute drive to Matthew Night Arena turned into a 55-minute drive because of a massive traffic jam. Instead of their usual two pre-game meetings, Washington only met once prior to tip-off according to in-game coverage by ROOT Sports.

Oregon's Garrett Sim went on an 8-0 run all by himself in the game's openings minutes and finished the first half with 13 points on 5-for-8 shooting. The Ducks held the Huskies to 30.3 percent shooting in the first half, while the Huskies have allowed the Ducks to shoot a lights-out 62.1 percent from the field.

Desmond Simmons leads Washington with five points. The Huskies are 5-for-13 from the free-throw line and 1-for-8 from the charity stripe.
