Washington Vs. Arizona Score Update: Huskies Lead 39-37 In Critical Pac-12 Game

The Washington Huskies came into Saturday's game against the Arizona Wildcats inspired. Washington leads Arizona 39-37 after one half of play.

Huskies head coach Lorenzo Romar started senior forward Brendan Sherrer for Senior Night in honor of his career at Washington. The Huskies' student section, the Dawg Pack and the rest of Alaska Airlines Arena erupted in applause after Sherrer returned to the bench after two minutes of play.

The first half's biggest moment though belongs to Aziz N'Diaye. The seven-footer stole the ball from Arizona's Kyle Fogg at half-court and proceeded to evade a defender with a high dribble en route to a one-handed slam dunk.

N'Diaye's play caused Wildcats head coach Sean Miller erupted at the officiating and pleaded for a travel-call on the play. Miller received a technical and CJ Wilcox sunk two free-throws to complete a 9-0 run and give the Huskies a 21-14 lead with 12:34 to go.

Arizona answered and made a 11-4 run to close the half. The Huskies did not make a shot in the first half's final five minutes.

Terrence Ross, a traditional slow-starter, came out on fire, scoring 15 points on 7-for-11 shooting. Fogg leads Arizona with nine points.

In these teams' past three meetings, the margin of victory has not been more than two points on any occasion. This game is shaping to be another classic matchup between these two Pac-12 rivals.
