206 Clicks: Huskies Win And New Arena Plans Revealed

Thursday's biggest news surrounded the announcement of the Seattle arena proposal. If NBA and NHL teams are purchased by a group of investors led by hedge-fund manager Chris Hansen, then a half-billion-dollar arena in the Sodo district near Safeco Field and CenturyLink Field might be built. • The Huskies won in relatively easy fashion with a 77-69 victory over Arizona St; Terrence Ross finished with a game-high 18 points. Gonzaga took care of Santa Clara, winning 73-62, though it wasn't a walk-in-the-park effort. Thee Cougars lost a heart-breaker to Arizona on the road, 76-72; Brock Motum finished with 28 points, but couldn't hit free-throws when they counted. And finally, the Seattle U Redhawks beat Pepperdine 81-70 en route to their third victory in a row.
