Local and national media react to the Mariners' trade with the Angels.
The Seattle Mariners made headlines Wednesday when they traded for DH/1B Kendrys Morales from the Los Angeles Angels.
The M's have done a lot this offseason to try and improve their offense, from moving in the fences at Safeco Field, to pursuing big-name free agents. The acquisition of Morales should help fill that void.
Here is some reaction to the trade:
Can confirm #Mariners have traded Jason Vargas to Angels for Kendrys Morales. That's the middle-order bat M's need.

From M's general manager Jack Zduriencik:
Jack Z: "We have been focused on adding offense this off-season, and feel that Kendrys will be a middle-of-the-order bat for us."
