College Basketball Rankings: Gonzaga, Oregon continue rising in top 25 poll

Examining the latest top 25 poll from CBS Sports.

The city of Seattle and the surrounding areas have seen their fair share of talented basketball teams over the years. This season, two teams from the pacific northwest are ranked pretty highly in various top 25 polls.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are now 10-1 this season, and while they lost a tough game at home to Illinois last week, that has not stopped CBS Sports from ranking them No. 16 in their latest top 25 (and one) poll.

The Oregon Ducks are also off to an impressive start this year. The veteran-laden squad features a 9-1 mark this year, and they're coming off an impressive showing against Nebraska. CBS Sports has the Ducks ranked 17th in their poll this week.

As for the rest of the nation, the Duke Blue Devils are now the top-ranked team. They replaced Indiana, which fell to No. 7 following their loss to Butler over the weekend. Michigan is second, Syracuse is third, Louisville is fourth and Pac-12 frontrunner Arizona rounds out the top five.
