Joe Nicholson-US PRESSWIRE

The Seahawks running back continues to miss practice time due to a lingering back issue, but precedent this season says he will play.

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was among six players who missed Wednesday's practice in preparation for Sunday's game against the New York Jets at Century Link Field, according to ESPN 710 Seattle's Liz Mathews.

Lynch continues to fight through a nagging back injury that's caused him to miss practice time before, as well as a newly-listed wrist injury presumably suffered in the 30-20 win against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9.

Offensive lineman James Carpenter and linebacker K.J. Wright (concussions), wide receiver Braylon Edwards (knee), safety Kam Chancellor (quad), defensive end Red Bryant (foot) and defensive tackle Clinton McDonald (groin) rounded out the list of those who did not participate.

Defensive lineman Jason Jones, who came away from the Vikings game with an ankle injury, was as limited participant as expected.

Good news came in the form of wide receiver Doug Baldwin (ankle), guard John Moffitt (knee) and center Max Unger (finger) each practicing in full on the day.
