A pair of touchdowns from the Utah Utes has put the Washington St. Cougars in an early 14-0 hole in a Pac-12 Conference football game that has reached the end of the first quarter.

Utah (3-5, 1-4 Pac-12) used a 47-yard rushing touchdown from John White and a five-yard touchdown reception by Max Moala from quarterback Travis Wilson to take the early two-touchdown lead.

Moala's catch capped an eight-play, 69-yard drive that ended with 3:46 to go in the first quarter. An extra point by kicker Coleman Petersen gave the Utes a 14-0 lead.

So far, the Cougars have had two offensive drives go three-and-out while their first drive of the game lasted just eight plays. Quarterback Jeff Tuel is 4-for-14 with 47 passing yards while running back Carl Winston has 14 yards on two carries.

Washington State is looking to snap a five-game losing streak while Utah is trying to make it back-to-back wins.
