The Hall of Famer has taken the Seahawks' rookie QB under his wing.
It's been talked about before – former Seahawk and NFL Hall-of-Famer Warren Moon's mentorship of rookie QB Russell Wilson. Now, it's being chronicled by NFL Films.
"When it comes to this year's rookie QB class, Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III have garnered most of the headlines. But up in Seattle, Russell Wilson is putting together an impressive debut season of his own – thanks in part to a familiar mentor."
Moon, who happens to be the analyst on Seahawks radio broadcasts, first reached out to Wilson in the preseason, and Wilson didn't hesitate to take Moon up on his offer.
The two talk throughout the week, and even on plane rides home immediately after games – an invaluable tool for the young signal-caller.
At 4-4 as a starter, Wilson is hoping for a strong finish to his rookie season, which Moon's mentorship will be very much a part of.
