C.J. Wilcox Injury: Stress-Related Hip Injury Keeping Sharp Shooter Out

Stay connected for news and updates

Washington Huskies shooting guard C.J Wilcox is sitting out in Sunday's match-up against the Washington State Cougars because of a stress-related hip injury according to Washington basketball's official twitter account.

The Huskies offense will need to find a way to replace Wilcox's 15.5 points per game. Wilcox is regularly a headache for opposing coaches because of his long-range shooting ability. He is shooting 44.0 percent from three, and has made 44 from beyond the arc — leading the Pac-12 in three-point field goals made.

In a pre-game interview, Huskies Head Coach Romar said freshman point guard HIkeem Stewart will see increased playing time as a result of Wilcox's absence.
