Oregon Vs. Nevada: Ducks Record Ten Touchdowns, Win 69-20

The Oregon Ducks entered Saturday hoping to avenge last week's lost to LSU, and they left their match-up with the Nevada Wolf Pack with a very fulfilling 69-20 victory. The Ducks racked up 603 yards of total offense and recorded ten touchdowns in just four quarters.

The Ducks scored twice in the first quarter, once on a four-yard rush by LaMichael James and then later on a three-yard pass from quarterback Darron Thomas to Lavasier Tuinei. Though the 14-0 lead was nice, Oregon really turned it on in the second quarter behind the arm of Thomas.

Thomas tossed four- yes, four- touchdowns in the second quarter to four different receivers. LaMichael James, Rahsaan Vaughn, Colt Lyerla and De'Anthony Thomas all caught touchdown passes as Oregon took an enormous 41-7 lead into halftime.

The second half was more of the same. LaMichael James took a 37-yard punt in the opening minutes of the third quarter and returned it 57 yards for a touchdown. Thomas found De'Anthony Thomas again later in the period for a 69-yard touchdown.

Running back Ayele Forde got in on the action in the fourth quarter, rushing for a 26-yard score to push the lead to 62-20 with just 2:24 to play. The Ducks defense capped off the game with a touchdown of their own in the final seconds when Boseko Lokombo intercepted Nevada's Cody Fajardo and returned the ball for a 67-yard score.

All-in-all, the Ducks had an unstoppable offensive game that almost broke the 70-point mark. Darron Thomas finished the night with 295 yards and six- yes, six- touchdowns on 13-of-19 passing. De'Anthony Thomas racked up 81 rushing yards on eight attempts in addition to 93 passing yards and two receiving touchdowns. LaMichael James also chipped in with 67 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, 56 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown and one punt return touchdown.

Oregon moves to 1-1 on the season. The Ducks will play the Missouri State Bears next week at home.
