Cliff Harris Suspension Lifted, Could Play Today In Oregon Vs. Nevada

Looks like Cliff Harris has learned his lesson, or the Oregon Ducks really think they could be in trouble against the Nevada Wolf Pack without him.

Andy McNamara, the Oregon SID, tweets that Chip Kelly has lifted the suspension on Harris, and he is eligible to play today against Nevada, which probably means he will play. Harris immediately becomes Oregon's primary returner, which should provide an instant upgrade after the mishaps in special teams last week by Kenjon Barner and De'Anthony Thomas. He instantly becomes the Ducks top cornerback, and should allow true freshman Terrance Mitchell (picked on all game by LSU) to head back to the bench.

Now, that doesn't necessarily mean Harris will play. Remember that after LeGarrette Blount saw his suspension lifted, he didn't see action for two games. But Oregon's 2009 team was on a roll when Blount was reinstated and already had LaMichael James and Kenjon Barner running the show. The 2011 Ducks need help in the worst possible way, and I doubt Kelly will keep Harris on the bench for long. Watch to see if Harris starts this one.
