Russell Okung Injury: X-Rays On Left Ankle Come Back Negative

Seattle Seahawks fans everywhere held their collective breaths as Russell Okung went down with an ankle injury, but there is some good news surrounding the left tackle.

Jason La Canfora just tweeted this update:

X-Rays negative on SEA LT Russell Okung, who left game with what appeared to be an ankle injury. Hope his injury luck turns this season

Great news there for the Seahawks. No official word on what the injury was and if he will miss a significant amount of time or not, but one would assume he wouldn't miss more than a few practices.

This is not the first time Okung has injured an ankle. He has damaged both of his ankles at least once since coming to the NFL in 2010. Despite being immensely talented, Seattle needs him healthy and on the field for him to live up to his full potential. Let's all hope this is the last we hear of the injury concerns. The offensive line with struggle if Okung is continually plagued by injury.

Stay tuned to SB Nation Seattle for future updates on the injury. Want more Seahawks coverage? Be sure to check out Field Gulls.
