Seahawks Vs. Ravens Recap By The Numbers: Marshawn Lynch, Steven Hauschka Lead Seahawks To Upset Win

The Seattle Seahawks were able to upset the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and pick up their third win of the season. The two teams ended up posting similar overall numbers, but Seattle was able to lean on their talented kicker and hold on for a 22-17 victory. Let's take a look at some of the numbers in this game.

Kicker Steven Hauschka was the main story for the Seahawks, as he was ultimately responsible for recording 16 of Seattle's 22 points. Hauschka kicked five field goals, from 22, 38, 39, 35 and 30 yards, respectively.

Seattle got on the board first, following a one-yard Marshawn Lynch rushing touchdown midway through the first quarter (and Hauschka provided the extra point to put the Seahawks up 7-0). Lynch had a solid game, recording 109 yards on 32 carries and the only Seattle touchdown of the game. Although he only averaged 3.4 yards per carry with a long of 8, his consistency and sure-handedness was one of the keys to Seattle never surrendering the lead following his TD run.

Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson was also solid, finished 17-for-27 with 217 passing yards and no interceptions. The turnovers were where Seattle really had the advantage in this game. While the Ravens lost two fumbles and added a Joe Flacco interception, the Seahawks didn't allow a single turnover.
