LaMichael James Injury: Possible Concussion

Stay connected for news and updates

LaMichael James was pressed back into service on Saturday for the Oregon Ducks against the Washington St. Cougars. He frankly didn't look the same in his first game back from injury. James put up 55 yards on 13 carries for a modest 4.2 yards per carry, but he wasn't much of a game-changer and he took a backseat to Kenjon Barner and De'Anthony Thomas for most of the game.

And it look like the Oregon tailback might have suffered a further injury. According to radio coverage of the game, LaMichael apparently got injured on his last drive of the game and had to be tested for concussion symptoms. He did not return to action on the subsequent Oregon drive. James's productivity wasn't needed in this one, but if he did suffer further injury it might hamper him in future contests that will probably be more competitive than their victory over Washington State.
