Week 9 College Football Rankings: Oregon Up To No. 7, Washington Drops Out

Stay connected for news and updates

No big surprises in the SB Nation College Football Blogpoll this week for the teams in contention for spots in the Pacific Northwest. The Internet polls have ended up imitating the ones that really matter up at the top while punishing those who haven't performed up to par.

The Oregon Ducks are in good shape after beating up the Colorado Buffaloes, moving right up to number seven, imitating their BCS standings and AP poll results. Oregon is the top one-loss team by consensus, and there probably won't be much variation between the blogpoll results and the current Internet results.

The Washington Huskies are not in good shape after getting stampeded by Stanford. They took a drastic slide out of the top 25, dropping from 23rd to 33rd. They'll have a chance to rebound when they play Arizona, but a return to the top 25 is unlikely unless they can upset Oregon in a few weeks.
