Keith Price Throws Four Touchdowns As Washington Rolls Over Colorado

From start to finish, the Washington Huskies (5-1, 3-0) offense could not be stopped at Husky Stadium in Seattle on Saturday. Huskies quarterback Keith Price dominated the Colorado Buffaloes (1-5, 0-3) on Saturday in a 52-24 victory.

The Huskies are now winners of eight of their last nine games. For the first time since 1997, the Huskies are 3-0 in conference play.

Price kept up his stellar play and threw for 257 yards and four touchdowns, completing 21 out of 28 passes. Jermaine Kearse, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Devin Aguilar and Chris Polk each caught one touchdown from Price — all in the first half.

Washington scored a touchdown in each of its first five possessions and went into the half with a 38-10 lead.

In the second half, the Huskies running game stepped it up. The team racked up 295 total rushing yards, Chris Polk had 117 yards on 18 attempts, while backup Jesse Callier finished with 81 yards on 10 attempts. Huskies wide receiver Kevin Smith also contributed 22 yards rushing of his own on a reverse end around touchdown run in the second quarter.

Colorado has yet win a Pac-12 game this season. The Buffaloes struggled all game to stop the Huskies offense. Backup running back Tony Jones was the lone bright star in Colorado's offense, he scored two touchdowns and finished the game with 49 rushing yards.

With the Huskies up by 28 points entering the fourth quarter, Huskies Head Coach Steve Sarkisian inserted backup quarterback Nick Montana into the game. Montana's first play didn't go as planned, with the redshirt freshman fumbling and turning the ball over to Colorado. Montana later settled down and was able to eat up the game clock and ensure a Husky victory.

In every single game this season, Price has thrown at least three touchdowns. Is it time to start the Heisman talk? If the Huskies pull of an upset win against Stanford next weekend, Price has to be in the conversation. The Huskies travel to Stanford for a Pac-12 North showdown next Saturday.

"Stanford is one of the best teams in the country for a reason. We have to really bring it this week in practice. ... It's going to be a great game," Huskies linebacker Cort Dennison told ROOT Sports anchor Jen Mueller in a post-game interview.
