LaMichael James Injury: Oregon Ducks RB Not Ruled Out Of Playing Vs. ASU

Stay connected for news and updates

There will never be an official report on whether Oregon Ducks running back LaMichael James can play on Saturday night under the lights in Eugene against the Arizona St. Sun Devils. However, if his interview with the media is any indication, it looks like James's status is a smidgen above doubtful and a teaspoon below questionable.

Jay Allen of Sportsradio 750 The Game talked with James on Tuesday, and he learned a few things about the running back that he's been tweeting to us.

  • James is not at all ruled out for playing against ASU, and is probably around "40-60" to play. It might just be a precaution for the Sun Devils to prepare and gameplan against LaMichael just in case, but he's definitely not out.
  • James is not feeling much pain in his elbow, but of course the danger comes from future dislocations.
  • LaMichael may be tough, but he's not about to watch his elbow injury anytime soon. He ffeels incredibly blessed to be getting another chance.
