Reports: Seahawks Line Coach Alex Gibbs Retired Because He Was 'Worn Out'

Greg Johns of the Seattle PI writes that Seattle Seahawks offensive line coach Alex Gibbs may have retired becaues he was “worn out”.

The run game has struggled through the preseason, but it’s not clear yet why Gibbs stepped down just eight days before the season opener.

A team spokesman said Gibbs indicated he was worn out and decided to step down now.

Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times reports similar information on Twitter.
