Todd Dybas of the Seattle PI writes that Seattle Storm head coach Brian Agler took a break from doing the Stanky Legg to defend his point guard, Sue Bird. Bird was snubbed by the WNBA, left off its First Team and relegated to its Second Team.

“She makes people around her play at their maximum. So, am I disappointed? Yeah. I’m very disappointed. I’m disappointed for her because in the three years I’ve been here she’s been exceptional.

“She even got quite a few votes for MVP. Probably should have got it two years ago if everybody would have sat back and really looked at what happened to our team. Who we didn’t have and what she did to get us to where we were.”
