Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) – Mike Napoli hit a solo homer and Dan Haren tossed seven scoreless innings, as the Angels shut down the Mariners, 3-0, to complete a three-game series sweep.
Haren (3-4) gave up three hits, struck out six and walked three for the Angels, who have won four in a row.
Jason Vargas (9-10) went seven frames in the start, allowing two runs — one earned — on seven hits for the Mariners, who have dropped four straight contests. The left-hander also fanned four batters and walked one to lose his fifth consecutive start.
