Breaking: Kasen Williams Commits To The University Of Washington

After much anticipation and hype, Skyline High School class of 2011 wide receiver Kasen Williams has committed to play football for the University of Washington.

The news was first reported by Mason Kelley of the Seattle Times on Twitter.

Kasen Williams's father, Aaron Williams, also played football for the Huskies. It was long rumored that Williams would attend UW but he made the commitment official tonight at a Skyline football kickoff dinner in Sammamish. By some estimates more than 1,000 people were in attendance for the announcement.  Williams reportedly placed three hats on a  table, representing the University of Washington, Louisiana State University and the University of California-Berkeley.

The 6'2" 195 pound Williams is considered one of the top class of 2011 football players in the state of Washington, rated as a 5-star prospect and the nation's #4 wide receiver by Scout.com

Williams joins Gig Harbor tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins who committed to the Huskies earlier in August. Williams was also recruited by LSU, Notre Dame, California and Florida, among others.
