Balmer Pays To Leave San Francisco

Stay connected for news and updates

Kentwan Balmer paid back a quarter of the 2010 portion of his signing bonus, $80,000, to facilitate the trade to Seattle. This can be construed as indication that he wants to play. This can be interpreted as common sense: If Balmer was AWOL from 49ers camp, he needed to make a trade work or face San Francisco attempting to recoup some of their money. Yes, even in the NFL, one must go to work to be paid.
